On November 1, Maariv reported on the Russian passenger jet crash in Sinai that resulted in the deaths of over 200 passengers on board. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff from a Red Sea resort in Egypt. AnISIS branch in the Sinai peninsula has claimed responsibility for the attack; however, officials have stated that the most likely cause of the crash was a technical malfunction.
