The Dabke is a popular folk dance throughout the Levant, including Syria, Palestine, and Lebanon. The dance is traditionally performed at festivals, celebrations, and weddings.  The dance is characterized by circle and line dances as well as the traditional folk clothing that its participants wear. There are many traditions on the origins of the Dabke, and certain parts of the Palestinian Dabke may have their roots in Canaanite fertility rites. Suggested Set: The Khartoum Oud Festival
