On November 5, Al Hayat and other Arabic media sources reported that Jordan recalled its ambassador to Israel in protest of what is sees as Israeli aggression on Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem, specifically on the Al Aqsa complex. Jordan described the move as unprecedented and came during clashes between Palestinian worshipers and Israeli police forces.
