The Russian economic situation is getting worse and the government, according to small and medium-size business owners, is not doing anything to help the situation. The Russian government is cracking down on those companies that aren't paying taxes; however, there are no meaningful reforms happening that make it easier for companies to actually pay those taxes. It still remains incredibly hard to get a business license, easy to have it taken away, and a set of business laws that punish rather than promote new business.
