On January 27th, NRG reported on the matter of sexual harassment within the Israeli police force. Deputy police commissioner Nissim Mor is suspected of sexually harassing a young junior policewoman and the recent investigations into similar instances have opened the floodgate for similar investigations. Head of the police investigative unit Uri Karmel addressed the issues facing the police department and reassured the public that most of the police serve faithfully. One of the consequences, however, of ambitious policemen and women is the quantity of reports regarding senior official's misconduct which points towards a sub-culture that exists within the police and must be addressed.
