On October 19, Al Sumaria reported on a ceremony presenting different types of Armenian folk fashions in memory of the Armenian Genocide during World War One. Participants in the event expressed solidarity with the Armenian people. The Armenian Genocide, which is denied by Turkey, was the mass extermination of Armenians living under the Ottoman Empire in 1915.
