On May 4th, Calcalist reported on the rift between Naftali Bennet, leader of the Jewish Home party, and Netanyahu just a day before the final coalition must be presented to President Rivlin. Some of the blame is being put on Ayelet Shaked who conducted the negotiations about the religious ministry with Netanyahu's party, Likud. As the religious portfolio is likely to shift from Bennet's control to Shas, Bennet has stated that his party will not join the coalition without his party being represented in the religious portfolio's makeup.
