Ladino is a medieval language that was historically written in the Hebrew script and is spoken by Jews of Spanish descent, known as Sephardim. While Ladino is traditionally written in Hebrew, it has many influences, including Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, French, Italian, Greek, Catalan, and others. There are an estimated 100,000 Ladiono speakers in Israel.
