US Space Rocket Launch Explosion
Lesson Brief
BBC Arabic
On June 28, BBC Arabic reported on NASA's failed space rocket mission provide supplies to the international space station. The supplies included means of subsistence for the astronauts currently working at the station, but they reportedly have enough supplies to last until October. Before that, a Russian supply rocket is scheduled to dock at the station. The rocket was also carrying a new docking system for future missions. The goal of the US mission was to re-supply the crew without having to rely on Russia, with whom US relations are strained. This is not a difficult set, but it contains great space-related vocabulary.
