Tomatoes, the most Israeli vegetable

On May 9, Galei Zahal that a new Israeli survey, commissioned in honor of Israeli Independence Day, found that 45% of Israelis identify tomatoes as the most Israeli vegetable. The survey also found that 20% of Israeli men surveyed indicated that lettuce has the most pleasant texture compared to other vegetables. According to the poll, 54% of respondents prefer to eat tomatoes in a salad while 17% indicated they were fine eating a tomato by itself.
