The Russo-Turkish War

Lesson Brief Wikipedia
The Russo-Turkish War (1877 - 1878) was a conflict between the Ottoman Empire and the Eastern Orthodox coalition that occurred in the Balkans and the Caucasus. One of the main causes of the war stemmed from Russian aspirations to recover territory it lost during the Crimean War and to push the Ottoman Empire out of Balkan nations. The attached video reports on a photography exhibition in Russia that featured rare photos from the war.
