The only hijacking in El Al’s History
Lesson Brief
Wikipedia
In 1968, Israel's airline El Al experienced its first and only hijacking when members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) took over the plane that was en route from London to Israel and diverted the plane to Algiers. Nearly a month later, all of the hostages had been released in exchange for 16 convicted Arab prisoners.
