The “Iron Lady” of Lithuania

Lesson Brief Lenta. ru
Arguably one of the most outspoken, anti-Russian leaders in the EU, Lithuania's president, Dalia Grybauskaite, has frequently been under the microscope of Russian state media. Lenta.ru has published an article bringing to the forefront her "failures" and damaging effects of Lithuania's anti-Russian rhetoric. Moreover, the article follows a common theme of asking somewhat conspiratorial questions and leaving them unanswered, so as to put doubt into the reader's mind. In this case, they mention the fact that she went to Leningrad State University, was part of the Komsomol, and possible worked for the KGB in the Lithuanian SSR...perhaps she actually is a communist!
