The El Al Strike Comes to an End
Lesson Brief
TheMarker
The Israeli national airline El Al recently ended a weeks-long labor strike that had forced the airline to cancel a number of flights. The labor dispute stemmed from the airline tightening its rules against pilots getting paid to fly as passengers on return flights in business class. In order to compensate for the crackdown on this practice, the airline agreed to give the pilots a salary increase.
