At the request of the United States, Switzerland has frozen dozens of Swiss bank accounts of FIFA officials. The U.S. sent the request citing that these bank accounts are being used for laundering money and other corrupt practices. Switzerland has agreed and has frozen upward of $100 million in accounts.
