On December 8, Galei Zahal reported on the second incident within hours of an infant Israeli child accidently drowning in a public pond. The first incident occurred in Herzliya when the child wandered away from his mother's view. The public parks have come under criticism for not constructing significant enough barriers to block children from wandering into the water. The tragedies come as Israelis are on break for the Hannukah holiday.
