A new investigation is underway to identify the remains of the family of Tsar Nikolai II, all of whom were murdered by Bolshevik revolutionaries in 1918. The purpose of the investigation is to confirm the identity of two of the tsar's children, whose remains are believed to have been found in 2007 near Ekaterinburg. By running DNA tests on the remains of Nikolai and his wife Alexandra, experts should be able to confirm the identity of the recently found bodies.
