Part I: Netanyahu apologizes to the Arab public
Lesson Brief
Galei Zahal
On July 26, Israeli Prime Minister addressed the Arab citizens of Israel and apologized for an election-day comment he made in which he stated that Arabs were voting in droves, which was interpreted by many as a racist comment. Netanyahu stated that he was referring to a specific political party, but even so, many were offended by his statement. The prime minister took this opportunity to call on Israel's Arab citizens to fully integrate and take part in Israeli society and emphasized that the two peoples share a common future. Part I of this set will focus on the vocabulary from the article and Part II will cover the attached video, which uses much of the same vocabulary from the article.
