Palestinian Officials Urge Recording Damages from Separation Wall

On February 19, Palestinian officials called called on Arabs in Jerusalem to record damages incurred by Israel's Separation Wall, a long barrier separating Israel from much of the West Bank commonly called the Security Wall in Israel and the Apartheid Wall among Palestinian circles. Recording claimed damages from the wall encouraged in an advisory opinion outlined by the International Court of Justice in the Hague in 2004. Since that time, several committees have been established for people to put forward claims of damage, but the claims remain scattered and poorly documented.
