Netanyahu’s visit with Trump

Lesson Brief RT
On Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with President Donald Trump in the White House to kick off Israel's relationship with the new administration. Netanyahu's visit will last four days, during that time he will meet with other U.S. officials and members of Congress. Before departing Israel, Netanyahu stressed that the U.S.-Israel relationship has always been strong but that he expects it to be strengthened in the coming years. At home, Netanyahu is under pressure by his political coalition to officially announce during the visit that his administration does not support a two-state solution, which would contradict previous official statements made by the prime minister. Additionally, Netanyahu faces the looming threat of potentially having to step down if several corruption investigations against him pan out. Suggested Set: Netanyahu to be questioned in corruption investigation
