On December 31, media reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of his family would be formally questioned by Israeli police over allegations of corruption. Specifically, Netanyahu is accused of accepting gifts, in the form of flights and hotel bills, from two businessmen. Netanyahu strongly denied the accusations and claimed they are unfounded; however, media sources have indicated that the matter may be more serious than the Prime Minister has indicated.
