Lone Soldiers
Lesson Brief
Lone Soldier Center
In Israel, lone soldiers are soldiers who are serving in the IDF without any immediate family in Israel. Most times, lone soldiers are non-Israelis that volunteer in the army or enter formal army service. The Lone Soldier center was established in 2009 by a group of former lone soldiers to help provide current lone soldiers with physical and social needs. Currently, there are more than 6,000 lone soldiers serving in Israel. The attached video is of lone soldiers sending their best regards ( ד"ש) to their families back home.
