On December 17, Al Arabiya reported that rival Libyan factions signed a peace deal in Morroco, which was backed by the United Nations. The peace deal stipulates that the sides will form a unity government; however, certain factions have rejected the agreement and it is not clear how the sides will guarantee its implementation.
