Japan marks 71 years since the end of World War II

Japan recently commemorated 71 years since its unconditional surrender in World War II. Emperor Akihito expressed deep remorse over the war and also remembered those lost in the aftermath of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. During his speech, the Emperor hinted that he may soon abdicate power due to health reasons.
