Shakshouka is a famous Israeli dish of Tunisian or Algerian origin that has become a staple of Israeli breakfast and other meals. The dish is composed of poached eggs in tomato sauce, peppers, onions and other ingredients often found in the region. Shakshouka is traditionally served in the pan its made in. The meal became popular with the large influx of Tunisian and Maghrebi Jews into Israel in the 1950s. This set will teach you all the essential vocabulary to make Shakshouka on your own.
