On June 20, Maariv reported that Israeli primary schools and kindergartens ended their school years and have gone on summer vacation. For some students graduating high school, the summer break carries deep significance, as many students will enlist in the army after the break. Israel's Education Minister wished all of the students a good summer and urged them to take advantage of their free time before returning for military service. Students also wished each other well and urged one another to be careful on their trips around the world, especially in regards to alcohol consumption.
