Israeli Drone Crashes in Lebanon
Lesson Brief
Mako
On July 11, Mako reported Lebanese claims that an Israeli surveillance drone had crashed into Lebanese waters. IDF representatives refused to address the incident, which is not the first time that similar reports have surfaced.
The Hebrew acronym used for "drone" in this article is מזל"ט, which stands for מטוס זעיר ללא טייס aka a small unmanned aircraft.
The attached video is from September 2014 and covers a similar incident. The video uses much of the same vocabulary from this short news article, which is a great opportunity to brush up on your military-security terminology.
