Israeli Airstrike Said to Kill 5 Hezbollah Members

Lesson Brief Al Sharq Al Awsat
On January 18, Al Sharq Al Awsat reported that Israeli Airstrikes in Syria have killed five members of Hezbollah. The bombing, which happened in the Golan Heights town of Mazra'at al-Amal, reportedly killed two prominent members of the group, including Jihad Moughniyeh, the son of one of Hezbollah's most prominent figures, Imad Moughniyeh, who was assassinated in Damascus in 2008. The raids comes days after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah boasted of the group's continuing military growth and warned that an attack on Syria, part of the "resistance axis" would be considered an attack on any other part of the axis.
