Iraqi Parliament Interrogates Defense Minister for Corruption

Lesson Brief BBC Arabic
On October 3, BBC Arabic reported that the Iraqi Parliament interrogated the Defense Minister Khalid al-Obaidi on corruption charges in a secret session. The decision to interrogate the minister was decided with the approval of 200 representatives and followed large protests in Baghdad and several other cities against rampant corruption. The attached video is a very brief news clip from September 30 reporting on a decision to postpone the interrogation.
