On Tuesday, the Iraqi government announced that it was constructing a wall and trenches around the capital Baghdad to prevent attacks. According to Brigadier General Saad Maan, work has begun on a long stretch of the wall that will reach 10 feet and be made up of concrete barriers. As construction of the wall continues, security forces will begin to dismantle some security checkpoints dispersed throughout the city, allowing more forces to participate in the fight against ISIS.
