Iran bans Pokemon Go

On August 5, BBC Arabic reported that Iranian authorities have banned its citizens from playing the global sensation Pokemon Go. According to the authorities, the game represents security concerns as it requires that players travel to different places in the real world to capture the virtual creatures. Iran is the first country to officially ban the game, while other countries have instituted certain measures against playing the game, including fatwas.
