“Infiltrators Law” Passed

Lesson Brief NRG
On December 8, NRG reported that the "Infiltrators Law" had been passed in Israel. The Interior Ministry head, Miri Regev, believes a better agreement could have been reached, and MK Shaked added that the bill was also passed so that a large detention facility (Holot) would not close, but that in the coming government, comprehensive amendments will be made. The three main components of the law concern the length of time for detainees, changes to fit the legal standards of the facility, and indirect legislative amendments dealing with the law for foreign workers.
