How to build a Sukkah
Lesson Brief

Today is the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The holiday marks the biblical story of the 40 years the Israelites traveled through the Sinai desert and the temporary structures that they lived in, known as Sukkot. During the holiday, Jews around the world build the temporary Sukkot outside of their homes or on their balconies for 7 days. For most, it is customary to eat all of your meals in the Sukkah, while more religious families sleep and conduct most other matters of daily life such as business inside the Sukkah.
