On Thursday, a historic high-rise shopping center in Tehran known as the Plasco Building caught fire and collapsed, killing dozens of people including at least 50 firemen. The building is believed to have caught fire due to old electrical wires, and the collapse was captured during a live news broadcast. The Plasco Building was built in the 1960s by an Iranian Jewish businessman, who was later executed for his ties to Israel.
