Giant statue of Ramses II uncovered in Cairo suburbs

A giant statue of Ramses II, as well as another believed to be of Pharoah Seti II, has been uncovered in the suburbs of Cairo. The statues are in fairly good quality despite being broken into several large pieces. Despite the excitement generated by the finds, Egypt's Antiquities Ministry has come under intense scrutiny on social media over the way in which the statues were extracted using rudimentary cranes.
