Food Safety Violations in Lebanon
Lesson Brief
An Nahar
The Lebanese Health Ministry has begun a campaign to crack down on food safety violations in the country. On April 18, 2015, An Nahar summarized the findings of the ministry's weekly report, which found several butcheries, restaurants, storage facilities, and stores to be not in compliance with legal health standards. Among the issues were stored wrotten foodstuffs, poor ventilation, and improper sewage disposal. This is an excellent article for expanding your vocabulary on on simple, everyday terms Arabic linguists often overlook, but which are nonetheless crucial to building up a practical, on-the-ground language base.
