Erdogan accuses of Germany of supporting terrorism

Lesson Brief BBC Arabic
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Germany of supporting terrorism. The fiery statements came as a result of a diplomatic row between Turkey and Holland and EU statements calling on the Turkish president to cease his inflammatory language. The Netherlands recently revoked the flight permit of Turkey's foreign minister, banning him from landing and addressing mass crowds of Turkish expatriates in an effort to convince them to vote for major constitutional changes in Turkey that would grant Erdogan wider powers. Erdogan called the Dutch government Nazis as a result of the actions and recently made similar accusations about Germany. Suggested Set: Merkel makes high-stakes visit to Turkey
