On July 10, Al Hurra reported that Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry visited Tel Aviv and met with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in an effort to revive peace talks. This was the first official Egyptian visit to Israel since 2007. Shoukry called on Israel to take steps to revive the peace talks and pledged Egypt's support for such measures.
