Deliberate Sewage Dump On The Way To Tel Aviv’s Beaches
Lesson Brief
Walla
On December 1, Walla reported that 180,000 cubic meters of sewage is flowing towards Tel Aviv's and Herzliya's beaches. The waste will be deliberately dumped into the Mediterranean by municipal infrastructure maintenance and upgrades, resulting in the closure of several Israeli beaches. While the plan was approved by the Israeli government, environmental organizations and beachgoers have protested the decision to dump waste so close to public beaches.
