Lesson Brief The Epoch Times
Like the recent celebrations in Berlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, celebrations happened Monday in Prague, Czech Republic and Bratislava, Slovakia, commemorating the end of communism in their countries. Citizens took the streets to commemorate the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia in November and December 1989 and first free election soon after. As in many countries that were once dominated by the Soviet Union, the 25 year anniversary is a major milestone.
