Comptroller Report on Netanyahu Family Expenses (Part 2)

Lesson Brief Globes
On February 17, Globes reported extensively on the state comptroller’s report on the Netanyahu family expenses with state funds. The report points to both to Benjamin and Sarah Netanyahu’s use of funding for meals, hairdressing and makeup, cleaning and more. This comes on the back of other reports concerning Sarah Netanyahu’s treatment of staff in their official residence. Other criticisms lay in their excessive water consumption and electrical repairs, at a time when the state is implementing a “drought tax”. Additionally, this report will also affect Netanyahu’s image regarding Israel’s social issue of the high cost of living, a major issue for the upcoming elections. See Part 1 here.
