Buried Treasure Found in Northern Israel

Lesson Brief NRG
On March 9, NRG reported on a buried treasure that three traveling members of an extreme sports club happened upon while exploring a cave in northern Israel. The coins and objects of silver and bronze appear to be about 2,300 years old and were apparently hidden in the cave during the reign of Alexander the Great. Israel's Antiquities Authority determined that such precious objects were probably placed there during the unstable period following Alexander's death and were intended to be recollected. Upon finding these objects, the travelers reported to the proper authority and as such, the specific location is being kept secret so as to protect both the objects from robbery as well as citizens from traveling into the dangerous caves. In this set, watch out for the word "מעבה" which is an adjective describing a deep place. Unusually, it is placed before the noun making understanding the sentence somewhat difficult.  This article also contains multiple synonyms for "to be hidden" - להיחבא, נחבא and הוטמן and הוסתר. A fun fact: a "מועדון המערנות" is a caving or spelunking club.
