Recently, Gulf states have witnessed a rise in inflation rates, which some experts do believe could be natural. In the last quarter, Saudi Arabia witnessed a 2.2% inflation increase on an annual basis from the previous year and a 0.4% drop on a quarterly basis. According to a CNBC Arabia article, the Kingdom expected a continuation of a drop in inflation rates during the first quarter of 2017 to comparable or lesser levels of the fourth quarter of 2016.
