Assyrians Fleeing Villages in Northeastern Syria

For the second day in a row, Assyrians in northeastern Syria continue there exodus from local villages, fleeing to the nearby metropolis of Kurdish and regime-controlled Hasakeh. On February 25, ARA News reported that the Assyrians, an ancient Christian minority in Syria and Iraq, are fleeing from ISIS incursions in the area after dozens were kidnapped by the terrorist group in the past couple of days. The refugees are setting up in local churches and with relatives while the UNHRC scrambles to provide basic provisions such as blankets.
