Abu Mazen apologizes for outlandish claims

Lesson Brief Channel 7
On June 25, Channel 7 reported that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, aka Abu Mazen, apologized for his outlandish claims in front of the European parliament, in which he claimed that Israeli rabbis were plotting to poison Palestinian wells. Immediately after his speech at the parliament, Abu Mazen was strongly criticized by numerous parties and was forced to apologize for his claim, which has been a component of Jewish blood libels for thousands of years. Abu Mazen stressed that he did not intend to harm Judaism and that he has a deep respect for the Jewish people.
