50 Percent of Gaza Residents Want to Emigrate
Lesson Brief
Maan
On June 10, Maan News reported on a recent study in the West Bank and Gaza Strip indicating that 50-percent of Gazans and 25-percent of West Bankers want to emigrate. The study found that Gazans have become increasingly frustrated with their situation. The interpretation of the study by Maan News, which is generally pro-Hamas, spun the findings to match its preferred political rhetoric, but nonetheless presents some of the sources of frustration felt by Gazans and Palestinians in general.
